Atlantikwall museum – Noordwijk
At 250 meters from Bosweg, into the dunes , you will find Battery Noordwijk, which consists of a fire control bunker, artillery bunkers, ammunition bunkers and residential bunkers, connected by a network of corridors.
Volunteers have worked hard in recent years to make it possible to open various bunkers and the tunnel system to the public.
The fire control bunker has been restored to its original condition as much as possible. It can be viewed during opening hours without prior appointment. It is possible to visit a gun bunker and a few personnel bunkers through the tunnel system, led by a guide.
Reservation is required for this visit.
You can visit:
* the equipped fire control bunker (possible without reservation)
* the corridor system (advance reservation required). No tour of the tunnel system until May 1 due to the hibernation of bats and work.
This gives you an idea of life in the bunkers during the war and the way in which the European coast was transformed into a fortress by the Germans.
Larger groups can also request a visit outside the indicated opening hours.
